Quad-Core Boosts Virtualization Performance and Scalability
Results of a vConsolidate Benchmark performance test of the new Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor 7300 series, jointly performed by Intel and Virtual Iron, show a remarkable improvement in virtualization performance and scalability.
The tests found that the new quad-core processor platform delivered up to 167% virtualisation performance improvement on Virtual Iron Version 4.0 software as well as being able to run twice as many Consolidated Stack Units (CSUs) relative to Intel’s previous dual-core platforms. This unprecedented scalability improves even further the benefits of virtualization for enterprise data centers in the financial services industry.
