Reuters Market Data System Reaches A New High
In the financial services industry, automated trading is a race. For these financial services firms, one of the keys to maximising portfolio performance is reducing data latency. However with the volume of market data expected to continue to double each year, the latency through many installed market data systems is growing.
The Securities Technology Analysis Center (STAC) has created a record-breaking benchmark by testing the Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® version of the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) running on a two-socket HP Proliant server with Dual-Core Intel® Xeon® processors. RMDS 6.0 surpassed previous two-way benchmarks and set a record of 4 million updates per second with a multi-core optimized server configuration.
